MA and PhD in political sciences/media and communication (Institute of Political Sciences, Jagiellonian University (1987); senior researcher at the Press Research Institute in Kraków (1989-2004), lecturer and assistant professor at the Institute of Media and Social Communication (1999-2004); assistant/associate professor at the Institute of European Studies (2004-2012), habilitation in political science (2012); Jagiellonian University professor (2019). Visiting professor in Wolverhampton, Bristol, Leuven, Bradford. Co-ordinator of the EU-JAMM double-degree programme. Founding member of the Polish Association of Social Communication. Member of the Polish Association of European Studies and the Polish Association of Political Studies. Member of the European Commission in the Polish Academy of Science (PAU).
