mgr Daniel Gołębiowski
Daniel is a PhD candidate at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow where he received master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies. His research concerns culture and its potential role as an instrument in EU external actions. Because of his interests, he places an emphasis on the relations between the EU and Arab countries. Prior to studying at the Jagiellonian University, Daniel graduated from Katowice School of Economics where he got BA degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. He also received training in International Environment and Management from College of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee and conflict resolution from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is one of the Europaeum scholars, where he works on public consultation tools within European Commission.
He has experience working for public institutions such as the European Parliament where he served as an intern in Jerzy Buzek’s office. He recently joined the REACTIK project which aims to expand the field of European studies on European Cultural Diplomacy and European Cultural Policy. Daniel is also co-founder of Nahda Foundation, a non-profit organization which has been established to increase awareness among Polish people about the Middle East and its cultural diversity.
