Joanna Sondel-Cedarmas- absolwentka filologii włoskiej UJ (1999) i Facolta` di Lingue e Letterature Straniere Uniwersytetu w Udine (2004). Doktor nauk humanistycznych w zakresie nauk o polityce UJ (2005). Zajmuje się włoską myślą polityczną i polsko-włoskimi związkami kulturalnymi na przełomie XIX i XX wieku. Członek Istituto per la Storia del Risorgimento Italiano działającej przy Katedrze Współczesnych Doktryn Politycznych INPiSM pod kierunkiem prof. dra hab. Wiesława Kozuba Ciembroniewicza. Współpracuje z Centrum Badań Holokaustu UJ.

Joanna Sondel-Cedarmas graduated from the Jagiellonian University where she studied Italian Letters, and from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Udine. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Humanities from the Faculty of International and Political Studies, Jagiellonian University. She specializes in Italian political thought and Polish-Italian cultural relations at the turn of the twentieth century. She is a fellow at the Polish section of the Istituto per la Storia del Risorgimento Italiano , as well as at the Department of Contemporary Political Doctrines, Jagiellonian University, and she collaborates with the Centre of Holocaust Studies, Jagiellonian University.
