OVERVIEW

A Polish-French double degree programme run jointly by the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques at the University of Strasbourg – two institutions that enjoy a widely renowned reputation in the field of European Studies. In the first year at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, selected students follow a course in European Studies wherein all courses are run in English. The second year takes place at the University of Strasbourg (IEP).
 
The programme provides an excellent foundation of professional skills required at the European Union level and its institutional framework, as well as multi-disciplinary competencies in the field of European public policies and a knowledge base of the challenges faced by Central and Eastern European member states after their accession to the EU.

PROGRAMME DURATION

Two years (4 semesters)

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

The programme is directed at students with a bachelor's degree, having basic knowledge of the European Union institutions and background in the social sciences. The applicants tothe University of Strasbourg shall submit an application form and undergo formal interview. At the Jagiellonian University, students are accepted on the basis of an entrance exam taken in Polish, which is the same as for all Polish full-time studies. Likewise, all candidates take part in an interview to verify their motivations and knowledge of French and English, which are prerequisites for the participation in this programme.
