Master’s degree in Italian philology from the Jagiellonian University (1999), dottore magistrale in Lingue e letterature straniere of the University of Udine (2004). In 2005 she obtained a doctoral degree in humanities in the field of political sciences from the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University. In 2014, obtained the title of associate professor of politics from the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University. Since April 2019 she has been an extraordinary professor, and sinceSeptember 2020 a university professor at the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University.
Has conducted research and delivered guest lectures in many well-known academic institutions including the University of Bologna, University of Padua, University of Roma III and University of Trieste. She is a member of the Editorial Board of “Studies on Authoritarianism and Totalitarianism” as well as a member of the International Scientific Board “Europea”. Since 2012, the coordinator of the Double Degree MA in European Studies Programme delivered jointly by the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University and Corso di laurea in Studi Europei of the University of Padua. Since 2016, the head of the Department of Politics and Culture of the Mediterranean countries at the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University.
